New! Boba Fett™ Prototype Armor Skull Mini
Here at Regal Robot we love the story behind the costumes and often draw inspiration from the unique and interesting details… even when they’re only prototypes!
Die-Hard Boba Fett™ fans now know his armor’s shoulder symbol as a Mythosaur, but that wasn’t the first skull he wore! Prior to the release of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back™, the intricate costume for Boba Fett underwent a number of changes in color and design and in one prototype, that skull was actually more reminiscent of a bird!
Photographs of that particular prototype suit were widely used in early publicity for the character and turn up in books and even on action figure packaging. Further, fans learned in the Disney+ show, Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett™, this suit was also worn in the San Anselmo Country Fair and Parade in 1978, Boba Fett’s first appearance to the public!
Here’s another interesting fact about this symbol – adorning the head of the skull is an “F”-like shape that ultimately appeared on Boba Fett’s chest armor as part of his Mandalorian Crest decoration.
We’re now offering a highly detailed, 4.75″ solid resin skull inspired by this deep-cut symbol! They’re cast and hand painted in the U.S.A.. Hand staining accents the amazing details and wonderful organic sculpture and makes each a unique work of art.
Like our other Boba Fett-inspired decor pieces, this skull mini sculpture is ready to display and will bring some classic Star Wars™ style into to your home, office, man-cave, fan-cave… or even mud-horn cave!
